Got my dewalt 788 after waiting 2 months for it to get here. Took about a minute to set up for use and away I went. My son decided that the first thing I should cut out was a car, then a train, then a ninja turtles monster car. Childish but the boy was excited. Gonna take some practice but I am coming up with some patterns to try so we will see. I’ll probably never be able to compete with Sheila but I sure can learn from her!

+Great start to a very exciting and rewarding hobby. Practice, practice and more practice is all it takes. You may not compete with Shelia or others but you can get very good, I know.

Great start on the scrollsaw, Chris! Lots and lots of toys can be made on one. Thanks for sharing.
