Here is a small pedestal table (30”D). The top is QS white oak and the base and legs are poplar with a black distressed finish. This was my first attempt at this type of table and it presented many challenges. I turned the center from a 6” thick laminated blank and dovetailed the legs in at the bottom. I turned a 2” tenon at the top of the base and attached a small square piece of oak and the table is screwed to that. Don’t know if this was the best way to attach the top but it seemed the most simple. One thing that I would change is to make the top of the legs more round so that they flow from the base better. Thanks for looking.
