Spectacular spring has blossomed on a creative canvass of color dancing in the sun , wind and rain from my latest glass sculptures. I have made two frames all out of 1/4’’ thick strips to bend into curved eye drop shapes then attach the glass to it and you have hanging tree art. First bending, glueing and clamping the frames overnight. Then I router a 3/4 ’’ round over to give it a curved dowel shaped band of glued lumber. I apply my special metal reactive finish let dry overnight then sand smooth . I then paint the frames with four different colored layers let dry overnight then sand some of the top layer to revel the bottom layers giving it a multi color . I then finish with exterior varnish and hang in a tree. The glass interacts with the wind causing a twinkling effect . The sun cast a colored shadow as it revolves with the wind. To see all the elements react with nature is truly poetic. I achieved my goal of Art that is familiar but different. All this and Heaven too.
