One of the things I like about the Beetle Kill Pine is the color. Everybody spots this wood right away because of it’s slate grey/blue color with knots that stand out as golden spots when finished. We;; here’s a box made out of BKP that came in from Montana, the board was rust colored. There was no grey/blue just streaks of brown. Made the box to see how it would come out and after a 1 coat stain with Minwax Golden Pecan, this is what I got. I just wonder if I had used a redder stain would the effect been even better. Sorry that the picture of the grain wrap around the corner was out of focus. Too bad as this also showed a pretty good finger joint for a change
Anyhow the box is not important. This posting was just to show another variation in the color of BKP.
Thanks for looking in.
