Always wanted to make one of these, well pleased with the results, cheated on the block a bit though and used a piece of Beech worktop.

Looks great. Mind if I ask how long the build was? I think I could get some brownie points with the wife if I made her something like this. :)

I made this in between other projects and did not really have any plans just looking at other pieces online, I suppose it took about 3 days and then a few more hours getting the colour and wax job done, stained it with tea and vinegar with wire wool.
