This trestle dining table is made from figured cherry. The benches and table took roughly 1 day to build and 2 days to finish. Finished with high gloss polyurethane.

Beautiful table & benches. Only 3 days, wow. You must have some serious machinery to accomplish this build that quick. Nice work.

Actually I have a rather small woodshop (old 2 car garage) but it is Festool based so that speeds everything up. I also have a second shop to finish everything. I basically use the second shop as a spray booth that way I don’t have to clean up my actual woodshop.

that’s great. i am just now gluing up a table and was planning on a curved side like you have (unless the picture is deceiving me and its actually straight). I’ve debated how much curve to put in. how much did you have – i like your proportions? I was thinking the ends where you have the breadboards would be about 4 to 6 inches shorter (2-3 in per side) than the width of the table at the middle point.

That table is 2 inches shorter on each side. i started with a 36Inch wide piece before cutting the curve and now the outside is 32”. i believe the overall dimensions are 36” x 74”. Hope that helps!

Many thanks Z. Mine will be 39”x74”. Have a template set up for 2.5 on each side. now i have more confidence in the design.
