This maple for this box came from Home Depot. Kind of playing around with this one. Curves mostly shaped with Iwasaki files and sanding. Wife likes it, I’m not so sure. thanks for looking

Very nice looking box. Love the wood.

-- Nature created it, I just assemble it.

Those are some pretty dominant stripes in the maple. Great selection. Nice work.

If the wife likes iit, dont be saying anything more.

doubleDD has the stripes covered.

Iwasaki files ? I will need to go look them up, for my own education.

I am seriuosly thinking of replicating your curves work, so standby for a metric version soon.

A overall stumnning box, and workmans ship worthy of credit !

Well done !!

Excellent use of the “unintended” tiger maple. I occasionally find tiger maple in the stock at big box stores, sometimes the whole board and other times just part of a board, and I hang onto it for WW projects. Funny thing is it’s considered reject wood by many, because the grain is all wavy-like and won’t match their cabinets or whatever the wood is intended for.

Your wife likes the box, I like the box, you’re outvoted…. it’s a nice box.
