Thanks a1Jim, The center piece with the different color of cedar, is a wedge. When lowered,, Keep every thing tight, streight and tidy. I bough long time ago, the first of this last searies of an adjustable fence system that INCRA came out with. So,,, in fasting my idea to their fence I have a for and aft adjustment, and a using their T in that fence, side to side,,,,,all to align that pin dead center, over the various router bits i need to use. Also, to with draw the whole shee bang, back completely, for bit changes and any board adjustments i migh incounter. I make my cut patterns out of a extra shower wall plastic surround, i had when making a mistake from a wrong fauset cut.. Cuts super with a good pair of scissors, or drill with Forster Bits just as good for rounded corners.

I don’t know/haven’t seen a pin router. Searched some videos and gave me the idea of template routing. Great job!

Hi Surfside thanks, Ya know,,,there are several way to accomplish the same woodworking feat that a pin router does. The same could be said as there would be several methods to make . OH,,,,,,lets say a rabbet onto the side of your projects piece. Some probably would not do so, if they would have to take the money to buy a pin router, or to take the time involved in making one. In my case it has worked out for me very good, and on several different types of occasions. Now that I have made this one and now know what it can do when that particular cut is needed. Its easy to set back up, and just as easy to adjust. So I don’t loose my train of though or that shop rhythm ,making a project

Have your say...
