And now, for something completely different!

Well, this is something I’ve never seen on LJ’s before, a golf bag rack. I was asked to make this bag rack where I play golf. It was made with western red cedar to tie in with other course items made with cedar.

All mortise and tenon construction, no screws, excluding the lap joints for the cross pieces. This was my first time to work with cedar and it was interesting. Soft and prone to tearing it is both easy and challenging to work with.

Nice work. I have been thinking of making a smaller version for some of my in-laws.

Very nicely done. It looks very functionally sound as well. Nothing worse than watching your $1000 clubs take a faceplant the moment you get to the course. Good stuff brother!

Great work! Very functional design. Could you share the basic dimensions including (among others) the center rail height, the width you allowed for each bag and the platform size – length and depth. Thanks for sharing.

That is a classy looking build. I bet the golfers gears are spinning on making personal ones. Nice job.

Turned out great. Does this mean you get free green fees for the year?
