Storage Bed

This was my biggest project so far. It’s a storage bed for my son. It’s a combination of plans I found, ideas I came up with and parts of pictures that I saw. The plans and measurements took me as long to fix as building the bed but I still had to make adjustments. The case that holds the drawers were the most nerve racking. They had to be square vertically and front to back. I tried and failed to make a dado guide for my router but my cheap router wasn’t accurate enough so I cut them with a circular saw and guide. They weren’t perfect but I got by. Still my wife wanted to stain it but I told her that as much bondo (I’ve always used body filler) that we had better paint. First time using finger joints with the dado blade I bought for this build. They’re not perfect but I’m tickled how they turned out. Man that was a lot of drawers. It was a little stressful to line up the dados on both sides of the headboard. There has to be a trick I just don’t know it. Anyway thanks for taken a look.
