The pictures are not great, and I should have taken a little more time and dusted the project better, but here is a candy bowl that I made for my dentist. He promised not to hurt me if I made him something nice.

Very nice.
What was the inspiration for the spider?

That is a REALLY cool dish!
you should be pain free for a LONG time after you give him that!

Yes, you made him something and you should get a free visit in addition to no pain! How did you do that spider??

Humm, did he request a candy dish? Something to rot the patience’s teeth, bring them back sooner…....

Your work is spectacular Don! Love that little spider, a nice added touch. I also like the look of the knob in top!
Beautiful project all around.

Thanks for all of the nice comments guy’s.
PASs When i seen how the oak formed on the lid, and the walnut splines, it reminded me very much of a spider web, so i thought that I would try my hand at making a spider.
PaulDoug, I thought about that too, so i filled the bowl with sugar free life savers.

Hey Don, I reckon you should get an award for this one.
That is an awesome job.
I love the spider and he looks at home in his web. Great bit of interpretation.
Thanks for showing.

I like it, and I’m sure your dentist did too. I’m a firm believer in showing gratitude to people who deserve it.
