It’s not to many projects where you get to use a chainsaw, a mallet from a mallet swap, chisels, a welder, and your LN #62. But here is one of them.

This was what I had before,

It was to low. Plus I needed a place for the blacksmith vise. This piece came in on a load of logs, and the inspiration just struck.

Sweet set up. I love that anvil. I keep looking but people want kings ransoms for them. Does the lower limb have a purpose other than looks?

I just left the limb as an additional shelf. A place to set the hammer so I don’t have to bend all the way to the floor I guess.

Looks like a great place to swing a hammer!
The lower shelf is nicely done, Don!

That is probably the coolest shop log I’ve seen Don.

Love it. I want a large anvil for my shop. Been on the list for a while.

I see an anvil on CL like yours, I’d love to have it but they want $300 for it.
Nice setup there.

Much better Don. I like the holder for your club hammer. Now get bashing. :o)

Nice job Don. It’s good you now have a place to do the delicate work.

Great shop log Don. You could probably market those for some good $!

Shop log and the iron banana all intertwined, I love it!

Damn that’s one ugly colored anvil. Red would be easier on the eyes… :-)

I could not find a decent anvil, so I picked up some rail and am using that. Smaller work, but it’s hard unlike the crap they sell today thats soft, unless you pay a grand.

I was wondering about that mallet the other day and whether it was still alive. I use the one that you sent me quite often , it resides on my bench. Nice work Don.
