made from birds eye quartersawn white oak. I used boiled linseed oil then a clear shellac finish. they’re about 9 long by 6 deep by 6 tall. lined with velvet.

great looking box. The rays in the QSWO look real nice and pop with the finish you applied.

I made 4 of them like this. The one in the picture is made from quartersawn white oak. Two of the four were from birds eye quartersawn white oak. I bought the cut nails from Horton Brasses.

So glad I saw this. I will be finishing a qswo project this week. Used blo + shellac on a curly maple box and loved it. Was thinking of repeating but now I know I will be!
