This is some zebrawood jewelry I made for my wife a little bit ago. The inspiration came from an older ‘Woodworking for Mere Mortals’ video by Steve Ramsey.

Easy project to do and it has become one of my wife’s favorite sets of jewelry. The only difficult part is that the wood was prone to splitting so that even being careful i broke 2-4 pieces.

Thanks for the comments.

Zebrawood seems brittle at the thickness i was dealing with. I don’t remember the exact thickness but somewhere around 1/8. I had to be rather gentle with it after a few split along the grain. Even being gentle I had some that split while i was carefully drilling the small holes. I would(and will) use it again just because I really like the way it looks but I would plan on making a few extra pieces just in case.
