I usually do a lot of chip carving on my models, however I had this piece of Spalted Lime (Basswood) where the grain colouring and figure would take too much from the carving. So I decided to make some more tissue boxes using a minimum of carving. I just hate to waste good wood. I think the box looks ok though.
Corner joints are simple rebates with the top simply glued on.
