One last lumpy box

I was gonna call it a Dung Box but I decided to be nice at the last minute. This is a small burl I sawed off an Oak tree nearby this past winter. Don’t know why I even cut it. It’s small and unattractive and not much use for even turning anything good. Now my wife has put it in her office to keep paper clips in. I guess everything has a purpose. Except, what about a mosquito?????

This is a very nice looking box. Great way to utilize a burl which otherwise had no use. Unique!

It’s cool looking. Nice use of the burl. I do see why you thought of “Dung box”.

-- Mother Nature created it, I just assemble it.

another fine example of imagination and bolstering the fact that “it’s only scrap when you decide it is”

I personally think it’s beautiful. Great job. Thanks for sharing with us.

Good eye to visualize a box in that piece of burl.

Andy, Even when I found it growing and while it sat in my shop I still couldn’t think up a use. This was about it
