Just a little well made out of construction grade 2×4’s and #2 1×4 pine boards.

Glad to finally be through with this one. I thought it was going to be a fun little weekend project….six months ago.

Made up the design as I went along, which is great for a one-of-a-kind approach. Made plenty of errors. Didn’t really use a tactful approach for putting things together, so pocket screw holes are scattered about and visible in places they shouldn’t be. Started out with the base and for the first layer I routed the 2×4’s and sat (read: hammered the hell out of) the 1×4’s in the routed groove. A bit difficult when the 1×4 boards were as crooked as a politician.

I plan to have my wife adorn it with a planter of some sort.

I suppose I -should- make a wooden bucket to act as a planter…..heck I could probably reference Steve Ramsey’s latest planter video…..

.....back to the garage!

Hah! Great story. I feel your pain with the project from hell. And yet – it looks great. I really the industrial look you accomplished on the side walls. I bet you could knock the NEXT one out in a weekend.

A deep subject. That’ll look great in the landscaping.

“Crooked as a politician,” haha! I’ll have to use that as my descriptor from now on.
