We have a pup (golden retriever). We have a friend (talented painter). Soooooo, Friend painted a sweet painting of our fuzzy pup and wife says I should make something for talented painter friend. I came up with this wall-hanging box with drawers. I put some key holes in the back so that one can hang it on the wall and not let the poor thing sit awkwardly on the floor. Some boxes just aren’t loved like mine are (sigh). I’d have more pics but this box is currently inside of a cardboard box awaiting the long trip to PA. I used all kinds a wood on this box. I went conservative on this box but should have added some creative spice seeing as the new owner is all artistic and would probably understand any outlandish creative notions.

Well that’s pretty much it.

Holy crap! This is my first daily top 3. Ever. I may never attain such esteemed status again, so I’d better give some shout outs. First I’d like to thank all Lumberjocks around the world. I would next like to thank the Almighty Father Lord in Heaven because when I emerged into this world he said, “Well, there are plenty of engineers, waaaaaayyy too many landscapers and not enough cooks. Though, I don’t imagine you will fancy a spot in some south Chicago diner, so I won’t give you the skills to flip a burger or burn some bacon. No, to you I will give some artistic leanings. Whatever you do with that, be it painting, poetry or, gee, I don’t know, making cool boxes outta wood maybe? Yeah, so, have fun with that!” I am not sure if those were God’s exact words, so I quote-paraphrased-summarized. I would next like to thank wood. Without you, wood, my boxes would be made out of recycled tires or Barium Chloride or something crazy. We love you, wood!
