And now a different kind of BS Box

Just finished this BS Box and as you can see it is something a little different for me. I had this great 1×6 of BKP with a wonderful big knot like a sun. that came in from a mill in CO. I cut it into 6 pieces 12” long each and laminated then together with the knot on the front. I alternated the boards light and dark to make more of a contrast in the carcass . I cut out the design with 2 boxes but leaving the golden knot as a focus point. Then I cut the boxes out and glued a front of 1/4” burl (I think it is a burl from Australia) to both. After 6 coats of rattle can poly it is finished except I forgot the antler drawer pulls. Those will be added tomorrow.
This is 12” tall. 6” wide and 5 1/2” deep. It’s just a different kind of BS Box.

I would say that is very very nice. would be interesting to cut knot sections out of a board and use them for the drqwer fronts. You just gave me an idea, will have to try it sometime if I ever get the time.
