I took scraps of wood from left over projects to make the cutting board. Once I found the wood I glued up the wood, we cut the wood so it was all equal in length. Then I used drum sander to to make it flat, after that it was time to apply the finish. I couldn’t use mineral oil because I used soft wood. I used polyurethane to make it nice and shiny.

Sean, Looks nice but I recommend another pass through the drum sander to remove the poly if using as cutting board, as poly is toxic and will flake when chopped on and end up in the food. Sorry. There are several “food Safe” products available.
