Lumber rack

Project by Jimthecarver posted 428 days ago 856 views 4 times favorited 11 comments Add to Favorites Watch

For a few months I have been thinking about building a portable lumber rack. So I finally decided it was going to be built out of steel.
So I passed my idea to my brother, he designed it and cut the material. I welded it up and this is what we came up with.
I needed as do most of us LJ’s a way to store sheet goods.
Its 8’ x 2’ x 4’6”
It was a pleasure to work with my brother again.
Thanks Charles!....I love ya Bro.

Thank you all!
I filled it up this morning and it should serve the purpose it was intended.
I’m thinking of making another one soon. It took about 7 hours to build so thats not to bad.

It looks like you still have a ways to go before it is full… I like the design. It is clean and functional – perfect. I have one that is very similar looking. Mine doesn’t have the clamps for the plywood and is not on wheels and it has a panel saw on the other side. I keep thinking I should post a picture of it. Right now it is so loaded you wouldn’t be able to see it though…
