My wife, like Bake wife, broke down the electric mixer. Not being willing to buy a new one that will end soon as above, asked me to place a handle to continue using it.
The wood used is pink ipe (Handroanthus impetiginosus), a piece of branch pruning I got from a family home. Is machined excellently, and the result is very satisfying, especially knowing that the handle will last as long as several tens of electric beaters…
Finish is a mixture of mineral oil and beeswax.
For those interested, slideshow of the process in my blog.
Greetings.
Martin

Saludos.
Martín

Great Save, Martin!

How did you attach the metal whisk shank into the handle?

Great job Martin.
Do you think it will stop your wife from buying another electric one?
