Scrap maple from my dining table project… This is the dry fit and glue up… Hand chiseled butterfly tenons straight through 1.75”... Not perfect, but definitely pretty… Will finish with the same waterlox tung oil I used on the table…

Anyone have any good suggestions for high-end glides?

Nicely done. I favor the rod/nut ends on it.

If I had a bench like that, I’d definitely take a rest! Great looking bench!

Great bench, and a very interesting design. Well done.
