This box came about because I wanted to make the panel for the lid.

17 pieces of dyed veneer, the box sees were colored with black ink. Then the whole box was coated with shellac.

My youngest daughter wanted to claim the box before it was done, but I am unable to give itt to her until I make two more boxes (for older daughter and wife).

I like it. I have long admired Martyn’s Neoplastic box à la Mondrian and want to shamelessly copy it (with credit, of course). Someday when time permits.
