This mirror is inspired by my wife yet again while we were walking through REI. Original was in REI, picture 2, and my wife decided that she wanted one.
We currently live in a rental house that doesn’t have a single full length mirror in it. So, I found a discounted mirror at one of the local retailers. Ripped the frame off and build this. Lucky for me the frame started out broken and we got it further marked down.
Again, I used simple construction lumber. It was made out of pine 2×3 from the orange borg. The joints are lap joints. The legs are further enforced by some finish screws. The top is screwd in to allow for mirror replacement in the case that it is broken. The whole frame is stained dark and then gloss poly. All in all, it was about a $50 mirror and turned out pretty good.
This was the second project that I was very proud of. It was an annaverary project after all and the wife was very happy with it.
