This is a simple artist easel I made yesterday for my mother. 4hrs of work and only one little nick on the finger while I was trying to clean up the inside slot with a pull saw. Hardest part was to get the dimensions correct. I wanted to make sure she can comfortably sit or stand while painting/drawing.

All the materials were scrap sheet goods I grabbed some cutoff bin. Only item I had to buy was a 2 foot length of chain for the third leg.

It’s been a few years since I started/finished a project and this simple one was just the right one to bring me back into the game. However I don’t miss picking splinters out of my hand though…

Did you hear about the fellow who went to an art supply store for an easel. They had two of them, a cheap one and a very expensive one. Well he didn’t have much money so he had to settle for the “lesser of two easels”.

I know that is a groaner but there are not a lot of easel jokes.
