Something I saw on this old house several years ago. I thought I’d give it a try.

I had some scraps of cherry. oak, and southern yellow pine. The steps are 150 year old oak floor joist 2X12. The landing I wanted to be something special.

I used sawdust and polyurethane for grout. Finished it all off with a custom minwax stain and satin polyurethane.
