Since most of my projects are shop projects, I decided to post this one up.
It’s a very simple spice rack I made out of curly cherry.
Assembly was done with pocket screws.
The finish is a few coats of wiped on dewaxed shellac (sealcoat) that I lightly rubbed with a 1000 grit siaair pad (amazing pads btw) to smooth any rough patches. On the bottom rail (not visable in the pic) there’s three brass cup hooks for hanging whatever.
Like dirty old pot holders.
I had my spices on a small shelf red oak that I found on trash nite, but it was always crowded, so I decided one morning (at 5 am…) I’d build something new. :-)
My next will be a bit bigger and deeper to accommodate some of my bigger spice jars.
I need new pot holders…
