Computer Monitor Riser from Plywood Scraps

My coworker had propped up the monitor on his desk for the last 3 years using a cardboard box. The other day he said “Hey you do woodworking, could you make me a cool box?” And here is the result… only took a few scraps and an afternoon! Sanded to 220; finish is mineral oil and beeswax.

Thanks. I forgot to mention that I did not come up with this on my own. Here’s a link to something I found on Etsy that served as the inspiration. (My coworker wanted a recess in the “box” to store things like business cards and thumb drives so I modified this design a bit.) https://www.etsy.com/listing/111244106/27-imac-stand
