Picnic style kid’s art table. The top is a 24×36 white board glued to 3/4 ply. All other pieces are 1×3 or 1×4. Paint is interior latex left over from numerous other household projects.

Very Nice Looking Project. Well Balanced Look.

Great Idea with the White Board Top.

Very cool top.

I just finished a kid sized picnic table for my Grandaughter, but did it all traditional with an outdoor marine varnish finish. My wife mentioned about somehow making the top flat so when she was playing with small things they wouldn’t fall in the cracks. After seeing your project, I think I’ll make a top to place over the table when my Granddaughter is working with the small stuff. The Whiteboard top is a great idea, that I had never considered. Thanks for posting this.
