Nice looking board!

One question, what did you use for the magnet? It looks like the standard mag strip that comes on a roll with sticky backing, but the stuff I have here on rolls is very weak and I don’t think it would work at all through the board.

If it is the roll type where did you get it from?

Regards, Al

Nope. There are two types of magnets (whatever I had and used) – square (aprox 20mm x 10mm x 2mm – around 30 pc for bottom line) and round magnets (diam 8mm x 5 mm for upper line about 40 pc ). On the back of the panel I routed channels for them deep less 1/4’’ of panel thickness and not to the end. I lay them inside with glue and covered by wood stripe (which you can see and thought that was a mag stripe). That was Rare Earth Neodymium magnets which are much more powerful then standard mag strip.

Very nice looking design and concept, I like the inlay bands! One question, is the space behind the front board used for anything specific?

“space behind the front board used for anything specific?” – Planning to put there cutting board, which doesn’t exist yet :-)

Have your say...
