I got a couple of 5×7 prints at a local art fair. I never really got into comic books, but I really like the art work in some. When I saw Abe Lincoln fighting a dinosaur, I was sold.

The frames are inspired by some arts and crafts style frames that I’ve seen on this site and others. The walnut was cut and dimensioned with hand tools. The finish is boiled linseed oil and paste wax.

I have a larger frame like these in the works, for a larger print. Hopefully I won’t unlearn any of the lessons from these. Any comments are appreciated.

I love the clean design. Walnut is great to work with IMO, I’m working some now. Nice frames! I’m going to build some similar in the future.

Thank you. Walnut is one of my favorite woods to work.Thr best part is the way it looks when it’s finished, you almost can’t beat it.
