As part of the Masterpiece Series at RRCC we studied contemporary woodworkers; Green and Green, Krenov and others. As we moved through the semester we learned about their signature styles and techniques then tried our hand at a project that was inspired by one of the masters. I designed this curved door cabinet in the style of James Krenov. Someday I hope to build a proper Krenov style stand for it.

Beautiful I like it. I’m a very big admirer of Krenov’s work. I favorited this piece.

Great looking cabinet, the curved doors really accent the piece.
Could you tell us what woods you used?
Also- Are the interior shelves fixed? Or adjustable?
Thanks for posting

That is a very nice cabinet indeed! I have a question though. What made you choose to install the offset knife hinges exposed to the edge of the door instead of mortised back 1/8” or so. I recently installed some offset knife hinges like those and chose to recess them.
Just curious ;)

Very nice cabinet! Can you please inform me how you made the knife hinges and how you went about installing them so the doors worked properly. It seems to me the this is a very critical part of the making the cabinet.
