Sliding door

I made this sliding door out of Alder with frosted Plexiglas panels to keep it light and save on costs. Since you look at the door from down the hallway I wanted to keep the door close to the wall. This is the reason for the strip of wood at the top of the door. Not the look I wanted but its was that or a large gap between the door and the wall. If I had to do it again, I would have waited for the hardware to come in then made the door thicker. The wife was happy so i’m happy.

I like the barn door sliders vs pocket doors. They offer that little something extra. Very nice work, thanks for sharing .
