I have been been working on the elm blocks that was given to me, the patterns in the wood have been so spectacular that I did not want any to go to waste by cracking. These are the last of the real pretty ones. Its amazing what bugs or parasiites can do to alter the wood to a thing of beauty. Hard to capture the beauty by camera.

Hope you enjoy seeing this wood, turning may not be that great. Thanks for looking.

Nicely done, I think that more and more woodworkers are finally starting to use all of this free dead elm trees that seem to be everywhere. Some of them have spectacular grain, and the golden color is a bonus. Too bad that one day, they will be gone forever, same for the beautiful Ash tree.
