Never seen a potato masher that looked like this. I am used to the wire kind. I like this idea and may have to make one. I like to mash my potatoes the old fashioned way, with a masher, not an electric mixer.

I have seen some of these with the bottom made like a meat tenderizer., I made the bottom on this one slightly concave.

We had a wooden potato masher much like that when I was a kid. Haven’t seen one like it in a long time. Pretty cool, nlartist.

I have seen some at antique stores in my travels. They are easy to make, a good wood turning project.
