Hello all,

I have been lurking for a while and finally decided to join the site in hopes that I may be able to contribute one day. I am new to wood working in the past year and really enjoy getting inspiration from projects on this site.

This is a mail organizer I just finished to hang on the wall in our kitchen. I used inspiration from a few I saw on here. It is made of red oak and finished with golden oak and poly. It was quite nerve racking cutting the dados with the router but I think it turned out okay. As with everything I have built so far, I can see a lot of areas I could improve on if I were to do it again.

Thanks,

KJS

So you’ve been lurking & decided to take the plunge, we’ll – Welcome!
Nice build on this, looks good. The more you make, the more you advance your skills, that’s the fun of woodworking. Enjoy.

It’s not “IF” you’ll do it again, it’s “WHEN” you do it again. Welcome to Lumberjocks (and work on getting those pics in the correct orientation) :)
