Wife's Cutting Board

I had promised Kathy a new cutting board for Christmas and 2 of them I made for her had to go to other family members for presents. Finally a couple of weeks ago I got caught up and made one for her. Plenty big enough and nice woods but it took up counter space. So I made her a bracket fitted on the side of our cabinets to keep it out of the way when not needed. I think the idea for the keeper is really better than the board./

Ok, I was almost expecting beetle kill pine.

Great job, I am sure she will love it.

Monte, don’t expect any more projects in BKP until somebody ships me more. I have enough left for one more shelf project then that is it. Don’t you have some you want to get rid of?

I’m a little late to the dance, but wanted to say I really like that board and love the bracket idea for storage off the countertop. I’m going to have to steal…er..umm…borrow that idea.

Fred, better late than never. I appreciate the comment and you are certainly welcome to the bracket idea. BTW, I hid the screws and the mounting bolts have the nuts hidden on the inside of the cabinet.

I had made all the kitchen cabinets so it wasn’t hard to match the bracket to them.
