Here is my newest driftwood carving….just finished him today :) He is 7” tall x 7” wide x 3” thick. I tried a little bit of a different approach to the painting on this carving- I like the way it turned out. I never really know who is going to emerge from each new piece of wood. It is more of a carve and discover process than seeking a certain image. I enjoy allowing the wood to take me where it wants to go because it’s usually where I want to go, as well. Wood is good :)

Really neat! I like this guy you stated ā€œ(I never really know who is going to emerge from each new piece of wood.)ā€ well Iā€™d say the right one showed up this time. I really like the before and after pictures they are very enlightening just to see what you seen before you applied your talents. Good work thanks for sharing.
