Interesting to say the least.That looks like a difficult build with the curved sides and the box joints on those sides!

Im guessing it was made with oversized finger joints and then cut out on a bandsaw?

The Box Whisperer nailed it. I started with large finger joints, cut the basic shape on the band saw, and the did A LOT of filing
