This boot bench started with the old brown kitchen cabinet seen in photo #2 that I purchased for $10 from Restore. I removed the doors, sanded off the finish, made a bead board end panel, added a middle shelf with beaded edge and a bench top. I also lined the interior of the cabinet in bead board then installed it in a rear entry kitchen door nook.

very nice! I saw your other bench made from the reclaimed shutters. You certainly have the knack of re-purposing old materials. I think that’s a great gift to have. Turning old into new again.

Is that a cushion top on the bench? If so, where did you get it? I have a bench that I made and was looking to do something similar to the top.
