After cutting to length and gluing it up, I also passed it thru the planer. Just to get a nice flat panel.


This was my first time cutting this much detail at the band saw. I didn’t get very smooth cuts…

And 2+ hours with my rasps, files and sandpaper. I’m adding spindle sander to my wishlist!


I drilled out a recess with a 2 5/8 forstner bit and chopped out the corners with a sharp chisel.

3 coats of water based wipe on poly. See, I told you I’m a rebel…

LOVE IT!! Hitting up a Star Wars marathon (Episodes 4-6) on May 4th. This clock would be an awesome addition to the celebration!
