This tray was made from an old Ponderosa Pine tree that was killed by a Pine Beetle infestation. The beetles cause the beautiful blue coloration in the wood which makes it highly sought after.

The tree was salvaged and made into 2” by 12’ slabs preserving the live edge and this tray is made from one of those slabs.

The tray is 2 inches thick, 21 inches long and 16 inches wide.

Very nice I like the way you cut out the handles.

Not sure what I like most.
The beautiful tray or the lovely single malt Glenlivet.
I shall perhaps have a DRAM later to muse further on this…....
Well done on your good taste (in both).

That wood is the only good thing about those beetles. I love the tray and the live edge.
