End Tables

here are some end tables that go with the coffee table. I spent more time on the finish with these and getting everything more accurate. The top is Cherry and Walnut, just like the coffee table. I made them a little bit too tall so now I need to make a new couch…

I put it together with dowels instead of biscuits, the dowels take more time initially but I think it’s much easier to get everything to line up. I think from here on out I’m going to use dowels for everything except just making wide boards.

also, I had a problem with the finish I don’t know if anyone has ever see this before but on the bottom of one of them the polyurethane crinkled up over an area with lots of figuring like it was covered in oil. I sanded it, tack cloth, and it beaded up on top of the burl. What do you think is going on there?

Really like these too! The way you jointed the darker boards in the table tops is impressive.

Great tables, the finish does show them off well
