Had some American Chestnut left over from a previous project that I posted earlier and decided that the granddaughter (8 yrs) needed a step stool with storage space.

The bench is for the granddaughter also. Happened by Lowe’s one day and liked the look of two 1”x12”x12” boards that were standing on the shelf. The bench is made up of all glued up, 1” stock.

Finish is Minwax semi-gloss poly; hand brushed on.
