I made this candle holder for the alter for our Good Friday service. I heard about an idea where the candle goes out at the end of the service remotly by blowing through a tube. While experimenting, I tried a can of dusting air and there was a flair up of about 2 feet of flames before the candle went out. My pastor loved the idea and it worked perfectly. A very dramatic end to a very emotional service. The wood is curly maple and walnut. Some of the walnut was from a pallet. There is also plywood for the build up under the candle. The air delivery system is adjustable about an inch and a half up or down for different size candles.
