I love it. I plan to make a Taliesin floor lamp someday. This one is very nice. Maybe I’ll make that my project for this weekend. I have a few ideas for this that I’ll share if I end up making it.

I had a few free minutes so I got started on mine. I plan to make mine closed on all 4 sides and in using oak 1×6s I had laying around ripped into 2-1/2” strips and resawn in half for thickness. So my idea is to make each side 5” wide. The thing about your project that intrigued me was the vertical lines. I love that look. In going to try to cut the lines through to let light shine out. Crossing my fingers that that turns out nicely.

Nice work and a great design too. I think more woodworkers should make lamps. They offer a lot of latitude when it comes to design and they are important home furnishing articles.

Great Idea…we know that lamps can be used anywhere. I agree, we should make more of them
