Flat Jaw Extensions-- Home made - 10 replies
I have a set of flat jaws which will hold 8 inch bowls for finishing the bottom which work well. A few months ago found myself wanting to do some larger plates and bowls. Did not want to wait, or to pay the price for flat jaw extensions. I have some heavy aluminum alloy road signs given to me by our state hwy road crews. These are very rigid and...

I will be watching to hear your a...

What would you use? - 9 replies
Made a couple canes for a veteran friend. Have a problem with the finish. It is a little hard to explain because when he picks them up they seem to be completely dry. In just a few days time they feel a bit sticky and sometimes the finish seems to gum up a bit and collect moisture like from users hands and finish seems to be dirty. A little hist...
