The neck is glued in place. The back is ready to fit and glue on. It is cut about a 1/4” oversize all around except for length which is exact to distance from end piece and to back of neck piece.

The back was glued on last night. The inner form was taken out this morning. Fret board and sound boards are at left in this pic.

Glued the little right angle brackets at stress points where the inside curves might want to pull loose. They will not now. This was one of the places I thought might explode. There will be more bracket on the upper edge for the stress points on the sound boards.

Another view of the neck glued in place and ready to receive the sound boards. You can see I’ve rounted out the opening in the neck where the tuners go.

Tomorrow will band saw the bottom piece 1/16 to 1/8” away from the sides then sand flush to the sides. Comments and PM’s welcome Thanks for staying tuned.

Thanks for asking. The neck and also the tail piece is glued to the sides and also the bottom is glued to those also the sound boards on the top are glued to to the tail piece and the neck. All these pieces glued together makes for very secure and rigid joint.

I take it that you cut the neck on the bandsaw all the way into the the end spiral or is the spiral carved ?
