Have been considering a cabinet saw purchase for a long time. I didn,t really need one as I have a super Craftsman Pro Seriies 22124 which is a very very good saw and will pass the nickel test any time. I followed craigs list faithly for about 2 years and checked all the swap and sells on all the woodworker sites for either new or used. Liked what was found in three or four adds which I did look at and found as most of you do that the old iron is very overpriced for the trouble and expense to fix up or the newer better stuff was close to new price. Finally decided on a new Shop Fox w1819. Bought it from Amazon w/free shipping and on sale ( the price went up 150.00 after my order cleared Wheew) at a great price. It came in today after only five days. The truck company called yesterday to arrange deliver time which was set for today 1:00 Pm too 5:00.
Got the call from the driver at appx. 11:00am he said he was about an hour away. I was a little worried as they only have to drop this type shippment at the curb. He arrived in just a little over an hour and proceeded to unload the 500+ lb pallet on his pallet jack. I asked him to help me put it on my furniture mover two wheeler. He said no I will drag it up the drive way to your garage. I did help push. In the shop he said to check it out before signing. I checked and everthing was fine. Tryed to give him some money for the extra help which he, Jessie would have no part of. What a guy. I am a very happy fellow with my new saw setting in the shop waiting for me to unpack and assemble. I will not write more now as you will not read if too long. Will write about the assembly experience in a few days. Thanks for reading about my good day.

Who would expect you to write more when you have a shiny new toy in the garage? Have fun.

Thanks to everyone for reading my blog. I didn,t think of the pics yesterday as I was manuvering the beast off the shipping pallet and then scooting it off its own pallet onto the mobile base. Yes it can be done by one small guy. Those contortions and grunts and groans would have been a Hoot. I will start on some pics today and try to post them

There are still people out there who know the value of good service. Nice when one of them comes your way, isn’t it?
